Solara Painting restored a weathered wood deck for a residential property in Rockville Centre, NY. Years of sun and moisture exposure had left the boards graying, splintering in spots, and stripped of any protective finish, so the project began with a full cleaning and prep phase before any stain was applied.

• Cleared furniture and cleaned the deck surface
• Pressure washed to remove graying, mildew, and loose fibers
• Sanded rough boards and railings for a smooth surface
• Replaced a small number of damaged boards
• Applied a semi-transparent exterior stain rated for high UV exposure
• Sealed rail posts and stair treads for added durability

The finished deck has a rich, even tone and a protective finish built to withstand another New York season of sun and rain.
